Our guest speaker is Attorney Patrick Monroe and he will speak to a topic that many of us business decision makers face in our job, which is how to manage lawyers in a way to get the best outcome for the best value.
Patrick Monroe has a very unique background, which makes him perfect to speak about this topic. Not only is he one of the best M&A lawyers in San Diego, he actually was a marketing & sales business executive for more than 10 years at Fortune 500 companies and small businesses before he became a lawyer. He will tackle this topic from a business perspective with the experience of being an active M&A lawyer, since he truly understands both sides. Here is what you can expect to learn from his presentation and Q&A session:
Learn why the hourly rate of a lawyer means nothing and how to leverage it
Learn how to work with large law firms efficiently
Learn how avoid the common "information gaps" with your lawyers during transactions
The event will start on Thursday December 15th, 2022 at 5:30pm. Our guest speaker will start at 6pm with a short presentation (about 15 minutes) and then answer questions from the audience (another 15 minutes). After that Patrick will stay with us until the end of the event and be available for individual conversations.
We will have a separate room in the back that is reserved for us only (so that you can enjoy and hear the speaker well), but obviously you are also free to venture out into the bar or patio area.
